As the major commercial city and former capital, the landmarks like Shwedagon pagoda, the beautiful lakes and parks will be visited on the first day. Second day in the Shan State and the picturesque Inle Lake with unique leg rowers is a must for all. One can explore Inthas (those who live at the lake) and their ways of life, traditional fishing techniques, floating vegetation on the lake and stilt houses. After arriving Mandalay, we will see the monasteries and buildings decorated with typical Myanmar arts and crafts. Views from Sagaing hill will surely attract you. Also we will visit Mingun village where a gigantic unfinished pagoda and large bell are to be seen. Then, across the river Ayeyarwaddy and take the road to Monywa which passes mountain ranges, palm plantation and crops fields. Poe Win Taung caves with numerous hand works curved out from rock and hundreds of thousand of Buddha statues at Thanbuddhae temple is a must to see. From there another drive to Pakokku, another big town of Ahnyar, could observe Ahnyar people, their land and climate, culture and product. Take a boat sailing down to Bagan for two hours. Arrival Bagan, there are thousands of various size and shape of temples and stupas awaiting you to explore them.

ITT - 106 - THE COLOURFUL MYANMAR (10 DAYS / 9 NIGHTS)
Day 01 Arrival Yangon (by morning/ midday flight) ( - / - / - )
Arrive Yangon in morning / midday by flight. You will be welcome by your tour guide and transfer to the hotel. Have a rest at the hotel until the late afternoon sightseeing starts.
Late afternoon, we will visit the Chaukhtatgyi - the colossal reclining Buddha; the Shwedagon Pagoda – an inspiring golden stupa and view the sunset from there.
Overnight at Yangon.
Day 02 Yangon sightseeing / Yangon-Heho (Flight) ( B / - / - )
Breakfast at the hotel. The city tour of Yangon commences with a visit to city center and Sule Pagoda, the landmark of downtown Yangon, followed by Kandawgyi Lake for photographing the panoramic view of the lake overlooking the Shwedagon Pagoda.
Afternoon, transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. Fly to Heho. Arrival transfer to the hotel and check-in. Overnight at Inle Lake.
Day 03 Inle full day sightseeing ( B / - / - )
Breakfast at the hotel. Inle Lake, one of the magical lakes in Myanmar located 900 meters above sea level surrounded by beautiful mountains of Shan plateau, is the home land of the Inthar tribe. If by chance today coincides with the market day, we will visit the regional market which is held on a 5 days rotation basis in different areas of the lake. We will visit Phaungdawoo Pagoda – famous for its richly gilded five small Buddha images; Ngaphechaung monastery (also known as jumping cat monastery) was built more than one and a half century ago and features a number of interesting old Buddha Images. Other attractions include: unique leg-rowing style and fishing method of the Inthar, floating gardens used as vegetable plantations, silk and cotton weaving cottages and black smith.

Day 04 Visit Indein / Heho-Mandalay (flight) ( B / - / - )
Breakfast at the hotel. We explore the southern part of the Lake by boat sailing through small twisting and turning creeks to reach Indein village. This small village located on the southwestern bank of the lake is famous for its ruined clusters of pagodas dated back to 16th century. The tranquil peaceful ambience and the ruins overgrown with bushes will bring you centuries back.
Afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for taking the flight to Mandalay. Arrival transfer and check-in hotel.

Day 05 Visit Mingun / Mandalay City Tour ( B / - / - )
Breakfast at hotel. From the Mandalay Gawwein jetty, we will take a short boat ride up river to reach Mingun, located at the other side of the Ayeyarwaddy River and north of Mandalay. The boat ride is always pleasant as one can learn the ways of local life along the river. Sightseeing highlights includes Pathodawgyi, believed to be one of the largest brick base in the world and it would be one of the wonders of the world in case if it was completed; Mingun bell, said to be world’s biggest un-cracked ringing bell and Myatheindan pagoda, represents for Buddhist cosmology. Return to Mandalay
Afternoon sightseeing includes Shwenandaw monastery, still existing masterpiece of last Myanmar kingdom’s architecture in teak and wood carving; Kuthodaw Pagoda, renowned as the world’s largest book; and Mandalay Hill, regarded a natural watch tower in the plain region of Mandalay, to view the sunset.

Day 06 Visit Sagaing Hill and proceed to Monywa / PM Visit Poe Win Taung ( B / - / - )
Breakfast at hotel. Visit Sagaing, a former capital of Shan Kingdom and Myanmar Kingdom. Sagaing nowadays is renowned as the religious center of Myanmar because of over 400 monasteries spreading throughout the hillocks. After crossing the Inwa bridge (also called Sagaing Bridge), one can visit the Sagaing hill by trucks. The highlights include Soonooponyashin Pagoda, Uminthonese Pagoda, a thirty man made caves pagoda. Other highlights include silver smith and Kaunghmudaw pagoda – the gigantic stupa represent paddy heap.
Then, we will drive to Monywa, situated 157 km north of Mandalay (about 3 ½ hrs by car) by the east bank of the Chindwin River. Arrive Monywa and check in at the hotel. Then we will cross the Chindwin River and take the jeep or pick-up truck drive to reach Poe Win hill caves – an interesting area with the caves containing ancient sculptures, mural paintings dating from 17th and 18th centuries. Return to Monywa.

Day 07 Monywa – Pakkoku (Car) – Boat ride to Bagan ( B / - / - )
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and leave Monywa. After 13 km out from Monywa, we will stop at Thanbodday Pagoda – an unusual Buddhist temple with over 500,000 Buddha images. Visit one thousand Bodhi trees complex where you will see the elegant standing, reclining and lying Buddha statues are being built.
From there another 3 ½ drive to Pakkoku, the big town of Ahnyar, you can see Ahnyar people - their land and climate, their culture and product. Arrive Pakkoku where we will take a boat sailing down to Bagan for two hours.
Arrival transfer to hotel and check-in.

Day 08 Bagan full day sightseeing ( B / - / - )
Breakfast at the hotel. Bagan, one of the Asia’s most popular archaeological destinations and one out of two most pre-eminent religious old cities in South East Asia. The sightseeing starts with a visit to Nyaung Oo market – a typical local market; followed by visits to most distinctive pagodas such as Shwezigon Pagoda – the holiest one believed to be enshrined with Buddha tooth and hair; Gubyaukgyi Temple (Wetkyiinn village) – the 13th century ‘cave temple’ with fine frescoes of scenes from Jakatas; Anada Temple – one of the masterpieces surviving and remaining in Bagan and considered to be in the Mon architecture style.
Afternoon, we will visit a lacquer ware factory followed by a visit to local village. Before the sundown, we would take a boat ride along the Ayeyarwaddy River to view the sunset and relax.

Day 09 Bagan sightseeing / Bagan -Yangon (Flight) ( B / - / - )
Breakfast at the hotel. The second day sightseeing at Asia’s best kept archaeological destination includes a visit to Dhamayangyi Temple – the most massive and significant monument in Bagan with finest mortar-less brickwork; Sulamani Temple – close to the Dhamayangyi temple with more sophisticated style of later Bagan temple; another Gubyaukgyi Temple at Myinkaba village – believed to be built for Rajakumar on the death of his father, King Kyansitta, and famous nowadays for its well preserved wall paintings; Manuha Temple – built by detained Mon King Manuha; Ngagayon Temple – similar to the plan of Anada Temple and the main attraction is that the twice life size Buddha Image shelters under the hood of the naga or serpent inside the temple. We will view the sunset from the top of one of the temples.
Airport transfer for the flight to Yangon. Arrive Yangon in the evening and transfer to the hotel.

Day 10 Depart Yangon ( B / - / - )
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the international flight to another destination. Depart Yangon.
