Ngapali beach is in Rakhine coast facing the Bay of Bengal. It was known that a group of Italians visited there and compared it with their hometown “Napoli”, and hence the term “Ngapali”. It is said that beautiful beach stands on a par with the world famous Miami beach in United States in respect of nature setting and its beauty. The resort is 6.5 Km west of Thandwe extending over three kilometers replete with white soft sand and covered with coconut palm trees in the background. The resort is edged with blue sea and green coconut trees on either side. Along this unspoiled beach, one can enjoy strolling, sun-bathing, photographing and so on.
Apart from that, excursions like visiting the small fishing villages and local markets; exploring the countryside by bicycle and boat trips to the offshore islands can be experienced in Ngapali. Close to the beach is a18-hole Golf Course to fulfil the taste of beach golfers. Sunsets of Ngapali are really beyond description.
